This small hotel has very few rooms, the first floor has 6 bedrooms and the second floor has 10 bedrooms. There is 1 bathroom for every two bedrooms, and most rooms have sinks with hot/cold running water. You are always 1 door from the bathroom. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean and you are sure to remember your stay as one of the most wonderful and authentic period hotels in Alaska. The annex with 4 private rooms, is a bungalow-style home on the main street of McCarthy.

Lancaster’s is the right choice for budget minded travelers who want clean comfortable accommodations without any frills. Think of it as a “Hostel style” house -but with private rooms instead of dorm style rooms. The location is perfect and the rooms are basic, clean and comfortable.
